National Chauvinistic Association

Japanese salarymen form a club to learn the three principles of a good marriage. Among them: "To say 'I love you' without being shy."

I kid you not -- click here for proof.

Oh, I love this story! CNN and the NYT did a story on this last year. Here's a copy from one of our local papers: http://archives.seattletimes.nwsource.com/cgi-bin/texis.cgi/web/vortex/display?slug=husbands05&date=20070205

One question, though: your title suggests anger/disgust at this group. Do you mind if I ask why?

No, no anger/disgust. My only reaction was Oh! Hilarity.

To clarify: I believe "National Chauvinistic Association" is the title given to the group, quite possibly in jest, by the Washington Post.

Ahhh, gotcha.

Yeah, I find it delightful and really, really sweet. Especially the part about the cabbage patch yell in Tsumagoi. I actually have the article saved and read it whenever I want to smile.
